Because ultimately, we cannot see God’s plan for us. It’s entirely up to him, and the things we may not want to be thankful for all the time, such as unemployment or losing a loved one, has the ability to be used for good when we trust in God’s perfect timing and plan. “We know that in all things God works for the good of thos who love Him” (Romans 8:28)
