I’ve been baking – a lot these past few days. It’s therapeutic for me. It occupies my thoughts for a time and usually results in something that I can give to others to bless them. I rarely make something for myself – the preparation (and sampling the raw dough) is enough enjoyment for me. Most of these goodies will be contributed to Amy’s family or to the funeral luncheon. Here’s a glimpse at my efforts of the past few days:
I also made a rhubarb dessert but forgot to take pictures of it. Looks yummy though. I decided to save the lemon poppy seed bread for another occasion. I have two containers of strawberries in my fridge right now. I’m debating about making strawberry rhubarb cobbler or chocolate covered strawberries. What do you think?
Now I just have to figure out how to get it all to the church. I’ll figure something out. It can’t stay around here.
